Responding promptly to a distress call, personnel from the Kpong Fire Station attended to a deadly vehicle accident at Kings and Queens on the Kpong–Tema Highway within the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.
Upon their arrival, the rescue team discovered a collision between a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and a Howo tipper truck. The Pajero experienced severe damage to its front end, whereas the tipper truck had minor damage to its rear guard.
Tragically, one male individual lost his life in the incident. The body was transported by the Akuse Police Accident Unit to the morgue at Akuse Government Hospital for preservation. In addition, firefighters aided in traffic control to facilitate the safe passage of vehicles around the accident site.
