Issahaku responded, “So far, so good,” when asked about his training thus far. Everyone is prepared, and there is a lot of energy at camp. We’re simply getting ready, and training is going great.”
He stated that the sessions had been enjoyable for him personally. “I can see the improvements, so it’s good. We are preparing and getting in shape.
He urged the people of Ghana to continue supporting the team.
“To the Ghanaians, my message is simple: keep supporting us and keep praying for us.
We are working hard to make you proud,” he said.
Ghana’s World Cup campaign begins with a Group L match against Panama at BMO Field in Toronto on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 11:00pm GMT.
The Black Stars will then play England on June 23 in Boston and Croatia on June 27 in Philadelphia.
As a key player for the team since his debut, Issahaku is expected to contribute creativity and speed on the wing.
His ability to challenge defenders and deliver crosses will be vital against Panama, who are likely to adopt a deep defensive strategy.
The team left Rhode Island for Toronto on Monday and will have an official training session at BMO Field on Tuesday.
However, midfielder Thomas Partey will miss the match against Panama due to a visa decision made by Canadian authorities.
