{"id":3031,"date":"2026-02-10T00:22:14","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T00:22:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rendergh.net\/?p=3031"},"modified":"2026-02-10T00:29:19","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T00:29:19","slug":"knust-student-dies-after-falling-from-hostel-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rendergh.net\/fr\/knust-student-dies-after-falling-from-hostel-building\/","title":{"rendered":"KNUST student dies after falling from hostel building="},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"125\" data-end=\"273\">A second-year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has died after falling from a storey building at his hostel.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"275\" data-end=\"426\">The deceased, identified as <strong data-start=\"303\" data-end=\"332\">Ransford Amankwah Asomani<\/strong>, was a Level 200 student pursuing a <strong data-start=\"369\" data-end=\"425\">Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agribusiness Management<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"428\" data-end=\"550\">The incident occurred on <strong data-start=\"453\" data-end=\"481\">Sunday, February 8, 2026<\/strong>, at a hostel located at <strong data-start=\"506\" data-end=\"518\">Ayeduase<\/strong>, outside the university campus.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"552\" data-end=\"726\">According to reports, Mr Asomani was rushed to the <strong data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"621\">KNUST Hospital<\/strong> by his colleagues, with assistance from a police patrol team, but he was <strong data-start=\"695\" data-end=\"725\">pronounced dead on arrival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"728\" data-end=\"929\">In a statement issued on <strong data-start=\"753\" data-end=\"781\">Monday, February 9, 2026<\/strong>, the University Relations Officer, <strong data-start=\"817\" data-end=\"843\">Dr Daniel Norris Bekoe<\/strong>, confirmed the incident and said the parents of the deceased have been duly informed.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"931\" data-end=\"1105\">He added that the <strong data-start=\"949\" data-end=\"965\">KNUST Police<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong data-start=\"993\" data-end=\"1025\">University Security Services<\/strong>, have commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1246\">\u201cManagement will provide further updates to the media and the general public as soon as all the facts are established,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"gsp_post_data\" \r\n\t            data-post_type=\"post\" \r\n\t            data-cat=\"news\" \r\n\t            data-modified=\"120\"\r\n\t            data-created=\"1770682934\"\r\n\t            data-title=\"KNUST student dies after falling from hostel building=\" \r\n\t            data-home=\"https:\/\/rendergh.net\/fr\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A second-year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has died after falling from a storey building at his hostel.
